KOLEJ T6 HAJI ZAINUL ABIDIN

This morning saw students from the school performing as part of the Independence Day celebration. Students comprise from members of the Girl Guides and from Resos Department performed at Intel at their invitation. Two teachers took the students and accompanied them till the end of the programme. Ernest Teoh performed on the violin to the delight of all those present.

This morning saw the usher in of the nation's 57th Independence Day in school during a special assembly. Teachers and students conngregated at the assembly area singing patriotic songs and shouting "Merdeka" to show their love for the country. A specch was also read by the the History panel head.

PEPERIKSAAN PERCUBAAN SPM 2014

This morning saw two excellent teachers from a neighbouring school coming to the school to do a workshop for all the form 5 students of the school at the school's multimedia room. The workshop started at 8.30 am and finished at 1 pm with a break in between.

Last night saw the form 5 students of the school having their prom night at Vistana Hotel in Bukit Jambul. Many  teachers also turned up to grace the occasion to make the event more glamorous.

The food was good and lucky draws and impromptu sketches were also carried out much to the delight of all present. All in all it was clean fun and hopefully the students will remember the night for many many years to come. School is not merely a place for academic excellence but it also have that part of the human touch - caring and sharing.

This afternoon saw teachers and students congregating at the school canteen after school for the inaugural Hari Raya Celebaration. Students were seen serving food they had prepared for the occasion. It was a sight to behold as teachers and students from all races sat together to enjoy the simple spread of food laid before them.

This morning saw the school principal officiating the month long school level 57th Independence Day celebration with a speech stressing the importance of unity among the various races in the country so as to enjoy the continued peace and prosperity in the country. Students and teachers sang the patriotic songs and the principal then handed to the Students' Affair Senior Asst. flags to be put up in all the classes to signify the start of the celebration.

A host of activities were also lined up for the students to participate viz colouring contest, history quiz, patriotic song singing competition etc. Photos showing the event.

This morning saw the Counselling Unit of the school organising a workshop called " I Am a Responsive Youth" for form 1 & 2 students of the school. Students were introduced ways to make them responsive correctly and positively to the environment and at the same time taking good care of themselves.

Yesterday saw a health inspector from the Perak Road Health Clinic dropping by the school to give a talk to all the form 5 students about Denggi Fever and steps to prevent the widespread of the disease at the multimedia room.

It was an informative talk and students were later giving leaflets for further reading. Photos showing the event.

Tuesday morning saw members of the Youth Jams Penang coming to the school to promote their latest project called Augmented Reality Hunt which will be carried out at Queensbay Mall in September. The promotion was held during recess at the canteen.

Students who are keen can register to take part in this hunt before the closing date.

This morning saw the school having its 50th Prize Giving Day at the school's multi-purpose hall. The guest of honour was the PTA Chairman. Many parents also truned up to witness their children receiving their prizes.

Students also took the opportunity to perform. The programme ended with a simply yet scrumptious lunch.

This morning saw the school organising a Badminton Clinic under the 1 Student 1 Sport programme. A badminton coach from Indonesia came to assist in the clinic at the school assembly area.

A warm up session was conducted before the students were drilled on hand and foot work. All in all it was a fruitful Saturday for the students involved.
