KOLEJ T6 HAJI ZAINUL ABIDIN

This morning saw the school having Parents' Day 2013 for parents to come to school to check on the academic performance of their children. Parents could also look  and enquire about the discipline of their children. Many parents turned up for the event.

This morning saw the school having its annual sport meet at the USM stadium. The weather was cool and cloudy. Despite the slight drizzle, everything went on smoothly. Everyone had a great time. Many parents also turned up to support their children Volunteers from Intel Penang came to help as part of their community work. Photos showing the event.

This afternoon saw Mrs. Loh of PTPL College coming to the school to share with teachers as regard to Stress Management. Matters pertaining to stress management, how to overcome stress plus the different types of stress were also discussed and shared.

This morning saw the students going through a second rehearsal at the school field. Despite the improving haze, the weather was cool. This time everything went on smoothly all thanks to the co-operation of all the teachers and students.

Last Saturday saw a group of girl students of the school taking part in a talent search competition organized by Youth Jam. They formed the dance group last year under the name "Twinkle.  They were seen at the audition at Penang Times Square doing a dance number ala K-pop. Girls, all the best to you.

Last Saturday saw  members of PRS, Girl Guides and Buddhist Society paying a visit to an orphanage at Batu Maung. They brought foodstuff, clothes and toys for the children at the home. 3 teachers accompanied the students numbering  38.

The students also helped to spruce up the home by sweeping and clearing the home of dust and rubbish. Later they cooked and had lunch together with the children at the home.

This afternoon saw Mr. Lee and En. Ruzi doing a workshop on The Frog Asia Programme for the benefits of the teachers. Teachers brought their laptop so that they could have hands on training regarding this programme.

This morning saw students of the school going through a rehearsal for march past involving all the unjiform bodies, sport houses and prefects. Teachers were also on hand to help out in the school field.

Despite a few minor glitches everything went on well and on time for the students to go for recess. All in all team work spirit prevails.

This afternoon saw round 2 of the standard sport being carried out successfully with the help of fine weather albeit a little too sunny for comfort. Despite the uncompromising weather, many students showed up together with the teachers on duty to help achieve good result for their sport houses.

This morning saw two ladies from Youth Jam coming to school to motivate the students to take part  in Youth Jam'13 Penang to be held in Penang Times Square on 7th July 2013. Time is from 10am to 10pm.

This afternoon saw members of the various sport houses vying for the top spot in various  in the school standard sport 2013. The events worth fighting for were short putt, long jump and high jump. Students and teachers turned up despite the hot afternoon.

Panitia Agama Islam sekolah telah mengadakan satu ceramah Isra' dan Mikraj pada pagi tadi  di bilik surau sekolah.  Pelajar- pelajar agama Islam sekolah ini terlibat termasuk guru-guru Islam juga. Ustaz Suhailmi dari Unit Agama Islam JPN telah dijemput untuk memberi ceramah.

Yesterday afternoon saw Mr Lee the sport secretary of the school giving teachers an inhouse training and a short workshop on the nitty gritty of standard sport to be carried out next week. The events include short putt, high jump and long jump.

Teachers were in apt attention during the inhouse training and questions were field during the Q&A. All in all it was en enlightening seminar cum workshop.

This evening saw Pn. H'ng having her wedding reception at Cititel Penang. many teachers turned up for the wedding dinner together with her friends and relatives. The guests were treated to a scrumptious meal and entertained by a live band.

The school once again thanked Pn. H'ng for the invitation and wished you a happy and harmonious marriange. Photos showing the occasion.
