The anti-dadah campaign came to a close this morning with a quiz session. Questions related to the campaign were asked and students had to answer them correctly to win a prize. Many students took part in the quiz and went home happy because the questions tested their memory.

Student Sherlynn Seo was first runner-up in the recent Miss Sunway carnival Model Search 2011. She donned Bollywood costume and accessories while dancing to the tune of "Jai Ho" which impressed the spectators and judges. Congrats Sherlynn and best of luck.

Some members of the school Consumer Club were seen making compost near the canteen. They learned the technique of making the compose soil after attending a talk by the Consumers' Association of Penang.
SPEAKING SKILLS BY ANGKASA 2011
An officer from ANGKASA came to the school to give a half day workshop on speaking skills. Students were divided into groups to come out with what to speak and then present it at the end of the season.
ANTI-SMOKING CAMPAIGN 2011
Health officers from the Health Department of Penang came to the school to give a talk to the students and also had a mini exhibition on smoking. Form two students were involved in the talk while the exhibition was opened to all the students at the canteen.

The anti-dadah campaign entered its second day with more information on the kind of drugs available. Students were given information on 8 different kinds of dangerous drugs that can kill or maim a person taking or inhaling them.

This morning saw the launching of the anti-dadah week by counsellor Cik Wan Nurul. teachers and students also took the oath and followed by a 5 minutes talk by the counsellor about drugs.
GOLDEN BOY STRIKES GOLD AGAIN
In this year's MSSPP gymnastic event, our golden boy Jeremiah Loo made a clean sweep of all the seven events and also the overall individual event raking a total of 7 gold medals. Despite his small stature, he simply outclassed most of his competitors at the gymnasium in the Batu Uban Sports Complex.
MIND MAPPING WORKSHOP 2011

Two lecturers from PTPL College, Penang came to the school to give a work shop on mind-mapping this morning. Three classes of form three students were chosen to attend. The students were given guidance on how to create their own mind map.
CHINESE NEW YEAR FEAST 2011
This Chinese staff of the school threw a simple Chinese New Year lunch for other teachers, staff and contract workers in conjunction with Chinese New Year. The 1Malaysia spirit and concept is very much alive in the school.

The school football team took part in the 7-a-side Unity Through Football Competition at the Universiti Sains Malaysia or USM football pitch. ( opposite Batu Uban Sports Complex). A total of 68 schools from both from the island and mainland took part.

The school's ping pong team did the school proud when they managed to get second placing for the doubles while the team got third placing in the under 18 category held recently at the Penang Chinese Girls' High School.

PREFECTS' INSTALLATION 2011
This morning saw a group of prefects of the school officially installed for the year 2011. They also took the pledge to uphold the discipline of the school and to carry out their duty with integrity and without fear or favour in line with their motto; "See, Advise and Report."
