KOLEJ T6 HAJI ZAINUL ABIDIN

This afternoon saw a huge turn for the school's 46th Prize Giving Day. The chairman of the PTA declared the Prize Giving Day opened officially after his speech. Many parents turned up to support their children who won prizes an also watched their children perform in the canteen. To all the students who won prizes, congratulations to all of you. Keep up the great effort. A big thank you to all the teachers who diligently co-ordinated and prepared for the event. Last but not least a word of thanks to parents who graced the occasion. Teachers and students were busy rehearsing yesterday morning for the school's big day which is none other than the annual Prize Giving Day.

About 40 students comprising members of Girl Guides, Scouts and St.John Ambulance with teachers advisor Miss Chew and Puan Aida paid a working visit to the "Gan En Zhi Jia" home for senior citizens off Jalan P. Ramlee. They cleaned up practically the whole home pruning, sweeping and mopping diligently at every nook and corner. They did a good job spucing up the place and before they went home the teachers advisor presented hampers and foodstuff to the inmates of the home. To do charitable work at such a young age is laudable. Keep it up and be a caring citizen. Photos showing the event.

Students together with the teachers involved, had a rehearsal this morning to ready themselves for the guard of honour in conjunction with the Prize Giving Day 2010. It was a fruitful rehearsal and eveything went on smoothly despite the earlier drizzle.

The nurses from the Health Department and the trainee nurses from KDU came this morning for a second visit. The trainees gave a short talk on HIV AIDS After that the nurses from the Health Department gave the form 5 students medical check-up.
