KOLEJ T6 HAJI ZAINUL ABIDIN

Last saturday 27 June 2015 saw parents coming to the school to collect their children's examination result slips during the Family Day Programme.  The event was held at the school multi-purpose hall.

About 42 per cent of the parents turned up slight better than last year. Hopefully the number will increase next year. Photos showing the event.

This morning saw the History Panel head briefing the students regarding the case study to be carried out by the form 3 students next week. The briefing was held at the assembly area.

Thursay 23 June 2015 saw Miss Woo giving an inhouse training to all the teachers of the school regarding KBAT or HOTS, an acronym for Higher Order Thinking Skills. The training was held in the meeting room.

This morning saw the school principal Mr Seah Soo Chye presenting medals to members of the taekwon-do Club who took part in the recent Elite Taekwondo Junior Championship and Penang State TKD Championship held on 30 May and 13 June 2015.

Yesterday saw Pn. Choo gave  a second inhouse training for all the teachers regarding the PBS for the second semester. The inhouse training was held at the school meeting room.

This morning saw a group of facilitators from Befrienders coming to the school to do a programme with form 4 students at the multimedia room called Program Minda Sihat. Last night saw many ex-students and teachers congregating at the school multi-purpose hall to celebrate the school 50th Anniversary with a dinner. The guest-of-honour was the Deputy Director of Education penang, Dr. Hjh. SharifahBee bt Aboo Bakar and YB Yap of Pulau Tikus. 

Speeches were read and followed by a cake cutting ceremony. The dinner was splendid and the deco was great. The ex-students took the opportunity to have group photos and selfies with their ex-teachers.

The event was also marked by performances and lucky draws. Thank you to everyone present to make this event a success and truly a night to remember.

This evening saw Roshini,  a former student of the school having her wedding dinner reception at Shang Wu Chinese Primary School. A number of teachers went to grace the occasion.

The secret to a happy marriage is if you can be at peace with someone within four walls, if you are content because the one you love is near to you, either upstairs or downstairs, or in the same room, and you feel that warmth that you don't find very often, then that is what love is all about.

The school Tae-kwondo Club members took part in a competition recently at Phor Tay Secondary School and the results were quite promising.

In the TKD pattern and sparring Lok Chee Hoow and Eric Quah  won the bronze while Deric Neoh won a silver in pattern and a bronze in sparring.Yeoh Chee Loong won a silver in pattern while teoh Khai Sheng won a bronze in both pattern and sparring. Foo Yi Xian won a gold in pattern while Cindy won a gold in pattern and a bronze in pattern.

This morning saw all the students gathering at the school canteen to celebrate Teachers' Day for 2015 school level. Pledges were read and students and teachers performed to add cheer to the event.

May 17th to May 21st 2015 saw student Nurazielashafiqah of 5 Bakti taking part and making the school proud by clinching the first place in orienteering and third in performance at the Co-curriculum Centre in BukIt Mertajam during the Kem Cabaran Mutiara Siri 11.

This morning saw Jia Jun of year 2013 coming to the school to support the 50th Anniversary Dinner by purchasing 10 tickets after grouping 10 of his classmates. Thank you Jia Jun for the support. The school needs student like you.

Two ex-students  of year 2003 dropped by the school to support the school's 50th Anniversary Dinner by purchasing 12 tickets. They took the opportunity to gather their friends to meet their former teachers and also as a reunion.

Teachers' Day 2015 took on a new meaning when ex-student Angy Chang came to school to invite all her secondary teachers to an open house at Toyota Jelutong Penang in conjunction with the teachers' day celebration. Teachers who went were feted with satay and nasi lemak and were also given goodie bags.
