KOLEJ T6 HAJI ZAINUL ABIDIN

This afternoon saw the 4 Sport Houses  taking part in the inter-house futsal and netball in line with "1 Murid 1 Sukan 1 Malaysia" popularised by the Ministry of Education. Despite a slight drizzle earlier, the afternoon sun allowed the games to take place much to the delight of the students.

Last Saturday saw The Buddhist Society of the school in collaboration of the Counselling Unit of the School bringing about 40 PMR and SPM students to the Than Hsiang Temple at Bayan Lepas for a motivational talk cum blessing for the coming examinations.

At the end of the session the students were treated to a vegetarian lunch courtesy of the temple. After that they went to Mahindarama Temple at Kampar Road for another blessing. Photos showing the event at Than Hsiang Temple.

30TH SEPTEMBER 2012

This afternoon saw the school's co-op 'Koperasi Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Haji Zainul Abidin Pulau Pinang Berhad' having its 30th AGM with most of the members and shareholders attending. The AGM commenced with a speech from the school principal who is also the chairman of the co-op.

After the meeting members were treated to a scrumptious lunch and aslo given travelling allowance. Photos showing the event held at the school canteen.

This morning saw the school principal officially closing the month long Independence Day celebration in the school. Prizes were given to both the judges and participants of various contest viz best decorated class, poster drawing, poetry recital and quiz.

Recently scouts from the school took part in a camp at MBS, Penang. The camp proved to be a reunion place for both the senior scouts and junior scouts. During one of the presentation activities, the school scouts presented a dance number and was the champ.

The Starwalk 2012 last Monday seemed to be a good time for ex-student Leong Khai Sheong to propose to his girlfriend. He was a member of the school's St John Ambulance and today he is still a volunteer with St John Ambulance, Penang.

His proposition antic caught The Star and it was published in today's publication. Congratulations and all the best.

Last night saw the wedding reception of two former students of the school at a restaurant at Penang Times Square. They were both from the class of 2002 namely TJ Low and YC Chan. Teachers from the school were invited to the dinner. A number of former classmates of both the bride and groom also attended.

This morning a convoy of 5 cars met at RECSAM and left for the wedding reception at about 11am. It took about half an hour to reach Taman Selamat. After the prayers, everyone tucked in their favourite tomato rice and some other mouth-watering dishes.

This Saturday morning saw the school's Futsal team displaying their skills at the Penang Free School football field. They started playing at about 8.30am by winning 1-0 over Westlands Secondary and then went on to draw with Vocation School.

Today marks the final day of Miss Anusia's practical teaching stint in the school. Hopefully what you have learnt for the past 7 weeks will become useful to you in your career path to be a full fledge teacher.

Yesterday saw Encik Nabil Fitri who is from Padang Serai coming to the school to report as the new Islamic Studies teacher or commonly known as Ustaz. He will be serving the school until the year end school holidays.

The school wishes to bid a warm welcome and "SELAMAT DATANG" to him. May you do your very best in the school.

HAPPY MALAYSIA DAY 2012

Yesterday saw Ms. Sue from Ipoh coming all the way to share with the teachers some input on fire prevention and fire-fighting equipment. The talk was very informative and many teachers were taken aback by the severity of fire.
