During the recent concert at the Dewan Sri Pinang, two students from the RESOS centre of the school rendered a Malay song "Pergi." The audience were captivated and requested for encore.

A group of students from the Chinese Society were seen practising the lion dance. Despite their small stature they were not short on talent. One day hopefully they will take the state or world by storm. 

This world is most probably their oyster to partake. Keep the lion alive !

Students of the Maths and Science Society tried their hands at launching a water rocket under the guidance and watchful eyes  of the teacher advisor. Hopefully one day they will be great inventors using water to fuel vehicles.

The students with the guidance from the teacher advisor Madam Nalini cooked the scrumptious sweet rice with milk and brown sugar with some cashew nuts as the ingredients.  The sweet rice is part of the delicacies served during the festival.

The school had a fire drill this morning at about 8.45 am. It took all the teachers, staff and students to vacate  the school building in just 7 minutes thanks to the solid co-operation shown by all. Everyone was accounted for and no one was "burnt." Congrats to all and may the spirit of co-operation among all the "Hajians" prevails.

The Consumer Club of the school together with the Peer Counselling Group in collaboration with PTPL college held a cooking demonstration at the Bilik Masakan of the school.

Chan Peng Soon, ex-student of the school created history in New Delhi by winning a gold medal in the mixed double with Goh Liu Ying at the Asian Badminton Championships or ABC.

This year saw the inclusion and involvement of  students of the school in the Penang Inclusion Orchestra concert at the Dewan Sri Pulau Pinang on 18th April 2010. The students practically ran the whole show with the guidance of Mr. Chin, the show organiser from Piano World Music Centre.

With the help and guidance from Mr. Chin and some students who were keen to take up music, the school started the Music Club humbly with 5 violins and 5 er hu sourced by Mr. Lim himself. To Mr. Chin, thank you very much for your assistance. Hopefully we will be able to set up a string emsemble in the near future. Let's work towards making this dream come true.
