This evening all the prefects of the school were feted with a scrumptious dinner at Royal Hotel, Penang. The principal and some discipline teachers attended together with all the school prefects in recognition of their hardwork in school.

A cake cutting ceremony was also held courtesy of the PTA chairperson. There were also many lucky prizes made possible by teachers who attended the function. All in all it was a great evening.

Yesterday saw 17 teams of participants comprising members of the school uniformed bodies taking part in the cooking competition organised by Pn. Chew WS the teacher-advisor of the Girl Guides and assisted by other teachers especially teachers-advisor of various uniform bodies.

The competition was presided by Mr Bruce Lee, principal of Culinary Arts Centre Sdn Bhd. Congratulations to the winners namely Bomba, Scouts, Girl Guides and Boys' Brigade. To those winning the consolation prizes try again next year.

This morning saw the Senior Asst for Admin Ustaz Mohd Rafie officiating the month long Independence Day celebration for the year. Many activities are in the pipeline for the students to participate such as drawing competition, decoration of classes, traditional costumes contest and quiz on merdeka.

On 15 August 2015, The Buddhist Society of the school took a busload of students to Than Hsiang in Bayan Baru for a blessing service and also to bring joy to the oldfolks there. The students also helped out with the cleaning up of the place.

This morning saw the school having its 51st Prize Giving Day at the school multi-purpose hall. The programme started with the arrival of the PTA Chairperson Pn Yusnita Abd. Wahab and was received by the school principal Mr Seah. She inspected a guard of honour after a rousing welcome by the school lion dance troupe.

The event started with speeches and continued with presentation of the prizes to former and current students who excelled in their exams.

The event ended with some performaces by the students. All those present later took group photos and followed by refreshments.

This morning saw students from USM and Central College coming to the school to conduct a programme called "Program Perkongsian Ilmu" at the school multi-purpose hall.

On the 22nd July 2015, the Girl Guides of the school were having an activity at the school canteen. A girl guide saw something dangling on the school fence beside the canteen. It was a pigeon.

Out of sympathy for the poor creature, they stopped their activity and went to help. A 4 Cekal girl guide climbed up the fence and freed the bird. It was surely an act of love and passion to God's creation.

Welldone girls, the school is definitely proud of your action. Education is not merely about studying but learning and showing act of kindness and loving-kindness.

This morning saw the Senior Asst. for Admin, Ustaz Mohd Rafie presenting prizes and a plaque to the cleanest class during the official school assembly. 4 Cekal emerged as the champion while first runner up is 4 Bakti followed by 4 Cekal.

Last Friday saw the Panitia Pendidikan Islam organising the breaking of fast programme for the school. Many teachers and students attended the function at the school's multi-purpose hall.

This morning saw the school principal Me Seah giving a speech and thereafter officiating the English Week for 2015. In his speech he encouraged the students to speak and use only English more often.

The English Panel secretary also outlined the various programmes to be held during the week like Scrabble, Word Games, Wishing Tree and other activities.

Yesterday saw the Senior Assistant for Admin Ustaz Rafie giving an inhouse training on "Etika Profesion Keguruan" to all the teachers at the meeting room. It is part of the on going in house training compulsory for all teachers in all schools.

Last saturday 27 June 2015 saw parents coming to the school to collect their children's examination result slips during the Family Day Programme.  The event was held at the school multi-purpose hall.

About 42 per cent of the parents turned up slight better than last year. Hopefully the number will increase next year. Photos showing the event.

This morning saw the school principal Mr Seah Soo Chye presenting medals to members of the taekwon-do Club who took part in the recent Elite Taekwondo Junior Championship and Penang State TKD Championship held on 30 May and 13 June 2015.

This morning saw a group of facilitators from Befrienders coming to the school to do a programme with form 4 students at the multimedia room called Program Minda Sihat. Last night saw many ex-students and teachers congregating at the school multi-purpose hall to celebrate the school 50th Anniversary with a dinner. The guest-of-honour was the Deputy Director of Education penang, Dr. Hjh. SharifahBee bt Aboo Bakar and YB Yap of Pulau Tikus. 

Speeches were read and followed by a cake cutting ceremony. The dinner was splendid and the deco was great. The ex-students took the opportunity to have group photos and selfies with their ex-teachers.

The event was also marked by performances and lucky draws. Thank you to everyone present to make this event a success and truly a night to remember.

This evening saw Roshini,  a former student of the school having her wedding dinner reception at Shang Wu Chinese Primary School. A number of teachers went to grace the occasion.

The secret to a happy marriage is if you can be at peace with someone within four walls, if you are content because the one you love is near to you, either upstairs or downstairs, or in the same room, and you feel that warmth that you don't find very often, then that is what love is all about.

The school Tae-kwondo Club members took part in a competition recently at Phor Tay Secondary School and the results were quite promising.

In the TKD pattern and sparring Lok Chee Hoow and Eric Quah  won the bronze while Deric Neoh won a silver in pattern and a bronze in sparring.Yeoh Chee Loong won a silver in pattern while teoh Khai Sheng won a bronze in both pattern and sparring. Foo Yi Xian won a gold in pattern while Cindy won a gold in pattern and a bronze in pattern.

May 17th to May 21st 2015 saw student Nurazielashafiqah of 5 Bakti taking part and making the school proud by clinching the first place in orienteering and third in performance at the Co-curriculum Centre in BukIt Mertajam during the Kem Cabaran Mutiara Siri 11.

Teachers' Day 2015 took on a new meaning when ex-student Angy Chang came to school to invite all her secondary teachers to an open house at Toyota Jelutong Penang in conjunction with the teachers' day celebration. Teachers who went were feted with satay and nasi lemak and were also given goodie bags.

Tuesday saw the teacher- in- charge of Frog Vle En. Ruzinorsham  giving a hands -on inhouse training to all the teachers of the class regarding the use of FrogVle in their daily PdP. Teachers were taught to create sites for use as teaching aids in class.
