This morning saw all the students of the school having a field registering themselves for the extra-curricular activities for the the year 2014. On hand to help with the registration were the teachers-adviser. It was all carried out in an orderly manner thanks to the discipline teachers on duty.

This morning saw the presentation of official letter to discipline teachers for the year 2014. With the official letter, the discipline teachers of the school can carry out their work more effectively and with the support of the school.

This morning saw St John Ambulance cadets doing a promotional roadshow at the reading corner of the school. Members put up as array of paraphernalia used by members while on duty and also accessories.

This morning saw the Boys' Brigade having a promotion to attract more students to join the group. Past and present members together with some seniors also gathered together to help and shore support for the cadets.

This morning saw many new students from Remove and Form 1 congregating at the school canteen with their parents to listen to the briefing by the school Senior Assistants. All the parents were then given a talk on PBS at the meeting room while the students were taken around the school and classrooms by their respective teachers.

This morning saw a stream of students with their parents in tow making a beeline to the school office as early as 9.00 am to collect the 2013 PMR result slip. Many students came back decently dressed and were smiling away after receiving their slips.

Recently saw K. Maheswari having her wedding reception at the Batu Lanchang market. A few teachers went to the reception.

This morning saw a resos student Master Ernest Teoh cycling and mad a pit stop at Beach Street Subway for breakfast and aslo enjoying the Occupy Beach Street carnival. Seen joining them were three past Resos students.

Recently the school cooperative society had its annual AGM at the school canteen. It was declared that those who attended the AGM would be paid an allowance. Many members turned up and some resolutions were also passed.

Recently the school had a simple gathering at the school's pantry during recess to celebrate Deepavali. The Staff Room Organisation a.k.a SRO organised a simple brunch at the pantry and all teachers and staff were invited.

This morning saw Encik Ruzi the ICT teacher of the school presenting sim cards to those students who took part in the DIGI survey and internet security held at the meeting room. The presentation was held during the morning assembly witnessed by all the teachers and admin.

This morning saw the recall of SPM students for the final push before they sat for the Math papers. As usual three diligent teachers of the school Madam Tay , Madam Tan dan Mr Tan were steadfast in their effort to give the students a final push before the exam. Kudos to the teachers for their sincere effort.

This morning saw the visit by two school inspectorates as regard to the new input for SKTM. School admin were given some information on how to key-in data required online next year.

This evening saw the school having a simple annual dinner at the school canteen. It was a simple gathering yet a meaning one. Many teachers and staff turned up with their spouse and children. The guest of honour was none other than the PTA chairman.

The canteen operator also sponsored some lucky draw prizes beside the lucky draw prizes that the staffroom organisation had prepared. All in all it was a great gathering. Everyone went home happily having spent a fruitful evening.

This morning form 5 students were recalled to attend the extra intensive SPM Math class held at the meeting room of the school. This event was made possible with the inisiative and pro-active effort of three teachers Math teachers viz Madam Tay Hee Lim, Madam Tan Fang Peng and Mr. Tan Hock Lye.

With the extra help hopefully students would benefit and get better grades. A teacher in need is a teacher indeed. Kudos to all who made this event fruitful.

Recently saw the school carrying out the annual RIMUP programme in collaboration with SMJK Heng Ee. The objective of the programme was to foster racial integration and harmony among the students of various races. This year the programme was held at Penang Hill. 

Besides the nice view students learnt about racial integration, co-operation and also about the environment. It was a memorable learning experience.

TO ALL 2013 FORM 5 STUDENTS

This morning saw two lecturers from PTPL college dropping by the school to conduct an English Language camp for the form 3 students who had sat for their PMR exam recently on the invitation of the Counselling Unit of the school.

This morning saw the PPDTL or District Education Office sending two facilitators to the school to give a motivational talk on how to tackle the Bahasa Malaysia papers for SPM.  Selected form 5 students were taken to the meeting room for the talk cum workshop. Yesterday afternoon saw the English Panel of the school having an inhouse training for all  the English Language teachers of the school at the meeting room. A fellow teachers attended a workshop organised by the State Education Department of Penang and she shared the knowledge with the teachers on HOTS ( Help Our Pupils) and also marking scheme for SPM English Papers namely 1119/1.

This morning saw the closing officially of the 2-year Intel PC Pal Program. Mentors and mentees congregated at the meeting room of the school where speeches were made, followed by a quiz and also a motivational talk by Intellers.

The event concluded with a simple lunch at the school canteen. The school specially wish to record a word of thanks to Intel for their help in realising their corporate social responsibilty programme by collaborating with the school. Thank you and goodbye.

Last Thurday afternoon saw the Senior Asst. For Admin giving a short briefing to the teachers present regarding the e-performance evaluation system or better known as 'e-prestasi' which will be enforced in 2014. The talk was held at the meeting room.

Last Wednesday afternoon saw the Senior Asst for Students' Affair giving a talk on executive fitness to all the teachers at he meeting room. The contents included food pyramid, ways to keep fit and symptoms of not being fit and healthy. The talk was held at the meeting room.

Last Friday saw the school having a special assembly for the closing of the month-long Independence Day celebration school level. Students who took part in the quiz, colouring, poem recital and other contest were also presented with prizes.

This morning saw a facilitator from a nearby education department coming to the school to motivate the SPM 2013 students as regards to the various techniques of answering SPM History papers.

This morning saw the form 3 students lining up and waiting to be ushered into the examination hall. They were also again reminded on the do's and don't before, during and after the exam.

The school's co-op with the collaboration of Civic Panel donated some stationeries to all the students taking the PMR as a good luck charm. Such is the caring attitude of the school. To all the PMR students, the school wishes you all the best in your exam.

This afternoon saw 5 Cekal students having a small feast to commemorate their final year in the school and also as a token of appreciation to all the teachers who have taught them. Last saturday saw members of the school's Buddhist Society making a trip to Than Hsiang Temple at Bayan Lepas for a blessing ceremony for all the PMR and SPM students from the society to provide students with added confidence before the exams.

This afternoon saw a facilitator from a nearby school giving 2013 SPM students of the school a motivational talk on how to tackle the SPM 1119/1and 1119/2 English Language papers. Students were also taught ways to get marks for directed and continuous writing. All in all it was a great talk and hopefully the form 5 students present will benefit in one way or another.

This afternoon saw the school principal Mr. Seah, giving a pep talk to all the 2013 PMR students at the school canteen. Students were also reminded to prepare themselves thoroughly for the exam by sleeping early and getting all the necessary documents in order before sitting for the exam.
