KOLEJ T6 HAJI ZAINUL ABIDIN

This afternoon saw the Intellers (Intel Personnel) literally taking their corporate community service to the school. They came in droves and "conquered" the school with their very committed staff. They were in the school to help out with some using rubber hoses, brooms, mops, pails, etc etc.

This morning saw Halobook Company coming all the way from Kuala Lumpur and did a mini book exhibition at the school canteen under the the auspicious of the school library. Many books were exhibited including revision books and novels.

This morning saw the students undergoing a rehearsal in preparation for the upcoming 48th annual Prize Giving and Speech Day 2012 which will be held on Friday, 20th July 2012 at the school canteen.

Yesterday saw a combine force of 13 girl guides, 5 scouts and 3 members of Rukunegara Club plus two teachers-advisor of girl guides literally marching from the school under scorching 3pm sun to render community service at an oldfolks home in Jalan Terengganu which is about 1Km away.

There they were greeted by happy senior citizens and they went straight away to do their duty such as washing toilets, mopping the floor, cleaning the drains, making up the bed and so on.

All in all it was a sight to behold and an exemplary act to emulate. Hats off to all those involved irrespective of race, culture and creed. Photos showing the event.

This morning saw the presence of two facilitators from Inter-excel Advisory giving Form 5 students a talk on choosing aviation as a career. Students were giving a lot of information from choosing the right kind of career to vital statistics for aviation industry. The talk was held at the multimedia room.

This morning also saw a group of seven USM students giving a talk doing the Novel Research and Innovation Competition. Students were given input on the how and the why of going about it.

This morning saw the school's counsellor Ms Low giving a talk on career and job opportunities after SPM to Fifth formers of the school. Students listened attentively to what was said and presented and they would make their decisions better after theire SPM examination.

This week saw the presence of a new GSTT or temporary teacher and he is none other than Encik Sabirin bin Abu Bakar. He is helping out in the Islamic studies. To En. Sabirin, the school extends a warm welcome to you despite only 6 weeks contract with the school.

A member of the school pingpong team who took part in the pingpong tournament organised by DUN Batu Lanchang was featured in a Chinese daily.

This morning saw the whole school in motion to the beat of the theme song of 1M1S1M. It was mass aerobic carried out nationwide at 8.00 am and the school was proud to have Encik Abdul Aziz the Prosa from Education Department of Penang to grace the occasion.

At exactly 8.00 am after a briefing by En. Abdul Aziz he was given the honour to do the countdown for the mass aerobic to start by pressing the siren of a hailer.

All in all it was a great and successful event. The teachers and students sportingly went through the routine till the end. Photos showing the event.

This morning saw the school Co-operative Society collaborating with Counseling Unit of the school and Bahasa Malaysia Panel to come up with a prize presentation ceremony for those students who took part in the recent Anti-Dadah contest in the form of essay writing, poster and sahibba.

This morning saw the school principal presenting trophy and certificates of participation to all students who took part in the competition. Unknownz was presented with a trophy for winning 3rd placing.

This morning saw two facilitators giving Form 3 students a motivational talk on how to score A in all subjects. Students were encouraged to join their powerful seminar on how to score A. The talk took place at the multimedia room. It ended at about 1pm.

This morning saw the school holding a fire drill much to the delight of the students. The bell went shrieking non-stop and the students made a beeline to the field which was a safe sanctuary. It took the teachers, students and staff about 4 minutes to clear the whole building. All in all, everyone was accounted for. It was a fruitful drill and all are prepared for any eventuality.

This morning saw Mr. Narinda Singh and his uncle from India visiting the school and share with the students the Indian Art of Origami made out of crepe paper. They will be in Malaysia for two weeks and they shared beautiful origami made in seconds with the students.

This morning saw some students preparing the solar boat and solar cooker at the media room to prepare for the big challenge coming up next week. Hopefully there is an Einstein among them.
