An ex-student of the school Miss Banurega a/p Shanmugam will be having her engagement on the 11th of December at the Sree Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple (Hall) Jalan Kebun Bunga, Waterfall, in Penang. Time will be from 6pm to 9pm For those teachers who have taught her and are keen to attend so that they can meet up former students the invitation is at the Facebook. The wedding will be 6 months from the date of engagement. The school takes note of this and extend our heartiest congratulations to Banurega and family.

An Ex-student Wedding 2010


An ex-student Audrey Fun who graduated from the school in 1999 got married recently to the lucky man of her life Mr. Helvin at a church nearby the school.

She is now attached to the PBA and the school is proud to take note of her marriage. Congrats !The school and teachers who have taught her would take this opportunity to wish her a happy marriage and have a pleasant journey in your marriage life.

EX-STUDENT WEDDING PICTURE




Juwariyah bt Ahmad an ex-student of the school tied the nuptial knot and a reception was held at the Pattani Road Community Hall with the lucky man of her life Encik Arrafat.

Many of her friends who were former students of the school came in droves to give their blessings and also wished her a happy journey ahead.

To Juwariyah, all the teachers of the school wish you a happy marriage and may you attain what you seek to find in you married life.

The last day of school saw a group of 3C students making honey cornflakes in the cooking room of the school. They were so engrossed with the preparation that they forgot about recess.

BOWLING 2010

There is a bowling alley at Sunshine Square now. Recently there was a promotion giving those who are interested a free 2-hour trial for the use of the bowling facility.


A group comprising teachers and students grabbed this opportunity to test their bowling prowess and went there for some fun. It was fun and they vowed to be regulars soon. They were bowled over literally by the fun and joy they amassed at the alley.

TEACHERS ON TRANSFER


Two teachers got their transfer to serve in another school of their choice and the school would like to wish them all the very best.

FINAL WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT FOR SPM STUDENTS


Teachers involved with the SPM exam gave final tips and guidelines to the students to prepare them to face the coming SPM exam.

Students listened attentively to the advice given and also the do's and don't while in exam hall. The school principal also gave his advice to the students and wished them all the very best.

DEEPAVALI TREAT 2010


Teachers of the school were feted to scrumptious Indian delicacies during recess. There were a variety to choose from vade to samosa. It was a culture of the school where after a festival teachers of a race would take turn to give teachers from other races a treat.


This is truly a 1 Malaysia spirit being practised fom quite some time in the school. Keep it up and let's be a dynamic team and bring the school to greater heights.

GROOMING BY SUNSILK 2010

Promotors from Sunsilk visited the school and gave a talk on personal grooming to all the form 3 students at the multimedia room this morning. Students were given tips on how to dress up and carry themselves in all occasion. At the end of the session, the students were given free sample of Sunsilk products. Photos showing the event.

TALK ON VOCATIONAL STUDIES


The counselling unit of the school gave a talk on furthering studies in vocational subjects in colleges and higher institution of learning. It was held at the meeting room and it lasted an hour.

Both counsellors were at hand to guide the students and provided answers to questions fielded by the students.

It was a fruitful talk as some students also stayed back to ask more questions regarding their future undertakings.

POST PMR NIE PROGRAMME


An NIE programme was carried this morning in class 3A and students from 3A and 3B took part in it. They created poster regarding the environment and at the end of the programme they presented their poster in front of the class.

This programme was caried as part of the post PMR programme for form three students and also to fulfill the requirement of the State Education Department.

SPAGHETTI AND CHOCOLATE CAKE

Students from 3A and 3D went to the cooking room again this morning to whip up some palatable food namely spaghetti carbonara, mango rojak, streamed chocolate cake and prawn fritters. They cooked under the watchful eyes and guidance from their teachers.


After the cooking, they invited some teachers to sample their cooking. They diligently cleaned up the place before leaving the room. it was a fruitful session and they left the room with another skill that would be useful in future.

STAR WALK 2010


The Star came a calling this morning to register teachers and students who are keen to sign up. Mr. Chris and Mr. Soon also promoted The Star newspaper too. Those who signed up were given a towel.

SCIENCE QUIZ 2010


A bus load of students went to the dinotrek exhibition organised by Petronas Science in Seberang Perai and won prizes for the Science Quiz. They are Daniel Chiang and Razin. The questions asked were quite challenging but the two 3A students managed to score well to win a prize each.

SPM SEMINAR 2010


A bus load of SPM students went to Penang Chinese Hall for a seminar on how to tackle exam questions and also tips on answering well in exam. This trip was organised by the counselling unit of the school. A bus was chartered to take the students to and fro from the venue of the event.


The students waited in front of the school and was taken to the town hall and then back to school after the event where parents waited patiently to fetch them home. Hopefully this seminar will be useful and beneficial to the students who will taking their SPM examination soon.

REHLAH PROGRAMME 2010

The Islamic Studies Society of the school recently organised this programme at the Youth Park or better known as the Municipal Park (Taman Perbandaran). Among the programmes carried out were Team Building, Treasure Hunt and Resolution. The main purpose of the programme was for the members to appreciate nature and at the same time stay fit and healthy. A total 0f 33 members went together with three teachers-advisor. The members also swam at the pool in the park. It was a day well-spent by the members. Photos showing the event.

CHOCOLATE CAKE

Students from 3 Bakti today learnt how to bake a chocolate cake using a steamer. This is a healthy way to bake a cake. They were guided by their teacher Cik Noraini from whisking the dough to actually baking it with a steamer. Photo showing the event.

COMEDY THEATRE 2010


There will be a comedy theatre entitled "Dah Lagu Tu" to be presented at the Auditorium Taman Budaya JKKN (Rumah P. Ramlee) from the 12th November 2010 to 14th November 2010. at 8.30pm. Price of ticket in only by a RM5.00 coupon. What is special about this comedy is that it will feature an ex-student of the school Abu and also a support staff of the school Encik Hanizar. 5 CEKAL CLASS PARTY 2010


5 cekal held an early class party for the teachers as a token of appreciation for their hardwork in moulding them into useful citizens and also guiding them to a better future. COOKING IS FUN 2010

This morning saw students from 3A and 3D swarming the cooking room or popularly known as 'bilik masakan.' It was putting to use time in a fruitful and delicious manner. Students trying to outdo each other whipping up scrumptious sushi, bakso and egg sandwich under the guidance and watchful eyes of the teachers. It looks like the students are keen to take up cooking which is a very useful skill. Keep it up and join the Cooking Club next year. Photos showing the students busy preparing the food.
